If you are looking for time to relax, unwind and restore your body and mind in the comfort of your own home, then join us for one of our Redwood Restore yoga practices.

These 30 minute, Hatha yoga classes are open to everyone. Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced yogi, you will enjoy the blend of relaxation, asana (poses) and pranayama (breathing techniques). Redwood Restore yoga classes are held virtually, using the video call platform Zoom. This allows anyone to join us from wherever they are in the world.

Each month we will explore a different theme. Our previous practices have included:

  • Solstice Celebration – a practice centred around the Sun Salutations, harnessing the energy of the sun to enliven and enlighten our lives.
  • Stillness and Serenity – a practice to help you take a moment to find stillness. By taking time in each pose to appreciate the present moment we will all find an oasis of serenity.
  • A Journey to Inner Calm – with guest instructor, Ann Pyne, a practice harnessing the restorative blend of yoga asana and yoga nidra.

Redwood Restore classes are held virtually, using the video call platform Zoom. This allows anyone to join us from wherever they are in the world.

Online!

These classes are held via the video calling platform, Zoom.

All you need to access them is an internet connection, a screen (laptop/computer/mobile device/TV) and a webcam.

Once your booking is confirmed, we will send you the class log in details. On the night, you click onto the Zoom meeting link and you will be able to join us in our virtual yoga studio. Simple!

This is a Hatha yoga practice. Hatha yoga is the most popular form of yoga. It is slow paced making is suitable to all. We spend 5 - 10 breaths in each pose, helping us build strength, stamina, flexibility and awareness of our bodies and surroundings.

We always start and end with relaxation, to ground us into the present moment and calm our mind and senses. We build into this relaxation breathing techniques, or Pranayama, which are fantastic at reducing stress and anxiety.

The sequence of asana in between the relaxation will be chosen specifically to suit the ability of the group and following the months chosen theme.

Our instructors will guide you into each asana (pose) and show you ways to modify and progress the poses to suit your ability.

You will need an internet connection, a screen (computer/laptop/mobile device/TV) and a webcam. The webcam is important because, for insurance purposes, we must be able to see you at all times during the practice.

You will need a yoga mat for the practice. We do not recommend using a rug/towel as a substitute mat as these can slip and cause injury.

We encourage you to have a drink to hand during the practice and you might also like a blanket for the relaxation phase.

We may use props, such as yoga bricks, straps and chairs, during the class but we will inform you in advance of these. These are always optional and there are household substitutions you can use to save you buying new equipment (e.g. a dressing robe strap can be used instead of a yoga strap!).

This 30 minute class costs £5 per person.
