Michelle Scott – Founder of Redwood Yoga and Instructor

Hello! I’m Michelle and I’m a busy mum to two young daughters. I’m a lover of the great outdoors and enjoy family walks with our very excitable spaniel.

My schedule, like many others, is hectic but I live by the mantra that you can only look after others if you look after yourself. I, therefore, make sure there is time set aside in my week to do things that I love, time that is just for me. Yoga is one of these things and I love how it strengthens my body, eases my mind, and grounds me in the present moment.

I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years and when I left the Army in 2019 I decided to follow my passion and become a yoga instructor. I have a Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga and also a Level 3 Award in Adapting Exercise for Ante and Post Natal Clients. This award allows me to guide ladies through their pregnancy and beyond, showing them the benefits of yoga while they navigate their journey through motherhood.

I hope, through my teaching, I can share the amazing breadth and depth of benefits yoga creates, and that when you time for yourself, everything else just seems to fall into place.
